HD Valheim is a mod for the game Valheim. It provides a complete replacement of all textures, including the ones found in the game itself. The goal of the mod is to bring the game to life, and allow players to experience a high-quality game in their own environments.
To accomplish this, HD Valheim replaces all of the textures with my own, original HD assets. It will give players a better sense of depth and visual quality. In addition, it makes the game more immersive, by bringing the player closer to the environment they are in.
If you have been playing Valheim for some time, you may have noticed that the textures are starting to look a bit outdated. This is why HD Valheim comes in two phases. In the first phase, all the textures are upscaled x4 and are bundled into assets files. The second phase is the actual replacement of all textures, and this is what you will experience once the mod is installed.
You will need to download and install the assets files, in order to replace all of the textures.
